Black-headed waxbill (Estrilda atricapilla), Nyungwe National Park, Rwanda. Nyungwe forest is Rwanda's premier ornithological hot spot. It harbors close to 300 species of birds, over 200 varieties of trees and an impressive array of plants. Nyungwe National Park is part of the larger Albertine Rift montane forest predating the last ice age.
